We are organizing a unique 2-day course in our premises (located between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire) with a floral regrowth expert: Yves Lesire (saddle manufacturers, trained in the USA). Please note, places are limited 😉

HOW TO REGISTER FOR TRAINING?

THURSDAY 19 AND FRIDAY 20 SEPTEMBER 2024: ONLY A FEW PLACES LEFT

We invite you to complete the form below if you wish to register for the training. Your registration will be sent directly to the trainer, payment must also be made to the trainer and not on the Deco Cuir website.

PAYMENT

Payment is not made on our site, it must be made directly to the trainer (see the registration form above).
The reservation of the course will be taken into account by the payment of a deposit (€150 including tax) to be paid upon registration . We have the right to refuse a participant if the deposit is not paid. For September training, the deadline for payment of the balance is August 28, 2024.

CANCELATION

If the number of participants is insufficient, we reserve the right to cancel the training. A new date will then be proposed.
Any withdrawal reported at the latest 1 month before the course will not give rise to any refund unless another trainee takes up the place left available.

THE TRAINER

Yves Lesire has been a master craftsman (saddle maker) and approved trainer for several years. Since 2016 he has been a judge at the World Leather Debut Sheridan Wyoming USA.


DATES Thursday 19 and Friday September 20, 2024	RATE* 300€ for 2 days *Lunch is included in the price of the training.	SCHEDULES From 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday (1 hour lunch break)

LEVEL The training is aimed at all levels: beginner, advanced and expert.	MATERIAL All necessary training materials are provided .

*Training eligible for the CPF: request directly from the trainer.

THE PROGRAM

COMPLETING A PROJECT

Making the drawing on paper
Reproduction of the design on leather
Preparing room humidity to repel
Cutting the contours of the design with a swivel knife
Use of different pushing tools.

TEACHINGS & PRACTICAL EXERCISES

Study of the basics of drawing and different styles of embossing
Presentation of the tools
Techniques for preparing leather for embossing
Techniques on using the opening knife.
