Square abat-cartes and bissonnettes
The edger is one of the basic tools for leatherworking and is used to break the edge of the leather in order to make the edges more rounded. The bissonnette edger is used, by "pushing" or "pulling" gesture. The larger the size of the tool, the wider the chamfer. The edger must be sharpened regularly, especially for chamfering thin leathers. The size of the edger is to be selected according to the desired result or according to the thickness of the leather to be edged.
