Deco Cuir was established in 2009 and immediately specialized in the online sale of leather pieces or hides, leatherworking tools, and all the necessary accessories for creating one's own designs. The company is located in France, between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire (specifically in Campbon).
Today, Deco Cuir is the leading French website for leatherworking supplies. The company consists of about twenty employees who work daily to satisfy our customers. Our customer service is available to advise you on your product choices, a leatherworking guide has also been created for beginners, and we regularly offer new free tutorials to inspire you.
With over 9,000 references on our website (17,000 including all sizes and colors), you have access to a wide selection of items for all your leather creations. Every month, dozens of new references are added to enrich our offerings. Deco Cuir has its own range of products (kits, dyes, leathers, stamping tools, etc.).
Deco Cuir is also an authorized reseller in France for Tandy Leather Factory, Vergez Blanchard, Fiebing's, Osborne, Fil Au Chinois, Trimadel, Jeremiah Watt, and Barry King Tools. Our site is accessible to both professionals and individuals.
We offer the best prices on selected leathers, tools, and accessories, without compromising on quality. Our leatherworking tools primarily come from French, German, American, Italian, or Japanese manufacturers. Some tools are specifically designed for leatherworking professionals, while others are for hobbyists who enjoy working with quality tools.
We regularly offer discounts on a selection of items, and several permanent discounts are available on our site (mainly quantity discounts). Finally, leatherworking professionals can benefit from a discount on all their orders.
Deco Cuir is THE leather wholesaler with the largest stock of leathers sold in strips, laces, hides, or pieces. Our leather pieces are carefully cut in our workshop. To avoid "wasting" this beautiful material, we commit to recycling all our leather scraps from cuttings by offering them for sale.
Most of our leathers (50 - 60%) primarily come from stock clearances: end-of-series leathers or old collections from major leather goods manufacturers, shoe brands, or luxury brands. This is why most of our leathers are offered in limited editions, and it also allows us to offer you affordable prices. Without knowing it, you add a "responsible" touch to your creations by helping us recycle this beautiful material - UPCYCLING.
The other part of our leathers (40 - 50%) is exclusively manufactured for us to be able to offer you consistent ranges.
The majority of our leathers are chrome-tanned (mineral tanning) to make them very durable and water-resistant. We also offer a range of vegetable-tanned leathers: essential for leather carving or dyeing.
The majority of our leathers come from French or European tanneries, but some may come from further afield. In such cases, we ensure they are of high quality. The origin of all our leathers is mentioned on each invoice.
The History of Deco Cuir:
Established in 2009, Deco Cuir was born from an observation and a brilliant idea. During a visit to an automotive upholstery subcontractor, founder Xavier Dugast noticed that surplus leather was being discarded. He had the idea to give a second life to these scraps by offering them for sale online, on a marketplace. More than 15 years later, Deco Cuir is the benchmark in online leather sales and has the largest e-commerce site and specialized store for leatherworking.
Deco Cuir also has a physical store where you can find all the items sold on the website.
