*SATIN: brushed metal which offers better scratch resistance.
NICKEL FREE
For several years, we have been committed to gradually replacing nickel-plated items with nickel-free items because some people are allergic to nickel.
NOTICED
The finishing of leather accessories is done in batches. It is possible that from one series to another the finish may be slightly different depending on the surface treatment bath. Also, we cannot guarantee that the finish of all our items is perfectly identical .
The materials of our accessories: buckles
The majority of our metal accessories have received a finish that will embellish them, prevent them from oxidizing and give them resistance over time.
The finish is generally achieved by electrolytically depositing a thin layer of metallic material which will give the right color to your metal accessory.

FERROUS ALLOYS
STEEL : an alloy made from iron and carbon. Raw steel oxidizes easily when exposed to humid air (reddish rust).
STAINLESS STEEL : an alloy of iron and carbon to which chromium has been added. Main characteristic: good corrosion resistance.
PURE NON-FERROUS METALS
ALUMINUM : chemical element resulting from the transformation of alumina (extracted from bauxite). It is a lightweight but strong material. Aluminum is not very sensitive to oxidation; it can oxidize if not treated (white rust which makes it slightly duller).
COPPER : One of the few metals that exists in its native state. It is a red or orange-colored metal, often alloyed with tin (bronze) or zinc (brass) to strengthen it. Copper and its alloys have very good corrosion resistance.
NON-FERROUS ALLOYS
BRASS : An alloy made from zinc and copper. It is a high-density (heavy) metal used for high-end items. When it corrodes, brass becomes covered with a verdigris layer (on the surface only).
ZAMAC (or Zamak) : an alloy of zinc, aluminum, magnesium, and copper. This metal is durable and has the advantage of being easy to mold. ZAMAC accessories generally receive a finishing coat.
