Different types of sheep leather
Sheepskin (basane)
This vegetable-tanned sheep leather is free of heavy metals (no risk of allergies) and comes from a French tannery. The suppleness of these sheepskin leather pieces will allow you to create all types of leather goods or upholstery (e.g., club chairs)!
Woolly sheepskin
Some sheepskins retain their wool, which results in woolly sheepskins. They allow for the creation of original fur items: warm clothing, slippers, winter bags, cushions, and other decorative elements.
Parchment
Parchment is a sheep or lambskin that has not been tanned. The skin is dried, which makes the parchment firm and translucent. When it is stretched further before drying, it becomes thinner and more opaque, with a whitish or yellowish color. Parchment, formerly used as a writing surface, is now used in bookbinding and illumination. It is also used in the manufacture of percussion instruments (drums, djembes...), travel items (trunks, suitcases...), lampshades or nightlights... All our parchments come from one of our partners in France.
