Linen thread Au Chinois - Glazed cable 532 - 0.57 mm
The Au Chinois câblé glacé linen thread is a twist that is assembled a second time at several ends then twisted "wet". This humidification ensures that the linen fibers are not altered. The cabling increases the resistance and gives a very round thread, generally used for luxury leather goods. This linen thread is glazed, which means that it passes through a starch bath in which beeswax is added. It then undergoes brushing with horsehair and stretching. These operations give a smooth and resistant thread that has rigidity and hold. High quality thread, ideal for sewing leather by hand. Its very regular diameter allows it to be used in a sewing machine.
