CHINESE-STYLE SPOOL OF LINEN THREAD - GLAZED BRAIDED THREAD

Glazed braided linen thread is a high-quality, very strong thread. It is a natural thread that allows for the creation of traditional and authentic products while offering an incomparable aesthetic appearance and very high durability.

Braided thread is a twisted thread that is assembled a second time from several strands, then twisted "wet." This humidification ensures that the linen fibers are not damaged. The braiding increases strength and produces a very round thread, generally used for luxury leather goods.
This linen thread is glazed, meaning it is passed through a starch bath to which beeswax has been added. It is then brushed with horsehair and stretched. These operations result in a smooth, resistant thread that has rigidity, good glide for easy sewing, and hold.
