CHINESE WAXED CORD LINEN THREAD SPOOL

The waxed cord linen thread is a high-quality, very strong thread. It is a natural thread that allows for the creation of traditional and authentic products while offering an incomparable aesthetic appearance and very high strength.

Corded thread is a twisted yarn that is assembled a second time from several strands then twisted "wet". This humidification ensures that the linen fibers are not damaged. The cabling increases strength and produces a very round thread, generally used for luxury leather goods.
This linen thread is waxed, meaning it has been passed through a starch bath to which beeswax has been added. It then underwent horsehair brushing and stretching. These operations produce a smooth, strong thread that has rigidity, good glide to facilitate sewing, and hold.
