LEATHER BAG MAKING WORKSHOP

Spend a day learning how to make a Roma split leather bag and take it home with you! The training is led by an experienced seamstress.

Advanced level: to attend this training, you must have a good command of a sewing machine (domestic or semi-professional). To make the Roma leather bag, we recommend using a professional sewing machine, which will be available to you during the workshop.

Mandatory prerequisite for this training: have completed the intermediate level.

Price: €140, which includes the training, materials for making a Roma bag, and sewing machine rental.
Location: at our physical store in Campbon (44), located between Nantes and Saint-Nazaire in Loire-Atlantique.
Duration: 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Number of participants: 4 people maximum

- Professional sewing machine
- Double-sided, tear-resistant adhesive tape
- Cutter, rotary cutter, scissors...
- Sewing clips
- Rulers and squares
- 1 full-size pattern
- 1 spool of #30 polyester thread
- 1 split leather hide
- 1 Salpa synderme reinforcement plate
- 1 pig suede lining
- 1 x 15 cm metal zipper
- 1.20 m of nylon webbing
- 13 cm of sugherite
- 2 x 23 mm round magnets
- 2 x 15 mm snap hooks
- 2 x 16 mm D-rings
- 2 x 20 mm rectangular loops
- 2 x T3 double cap rivets

Bag dimensions: Height: 18 cm - Length: 21 cm - Width: 6.5 cm

Program: Pattern making, cutting, and assembly of the Roma bag using a sewing machine.

What you will need to bring:
- Your lunch: a refrigerator and microwave will be available (as well as a dining area).

Our trainer, Lucie, is a professional seamstress with experience working for a subcontractor of a major leather goods brand. Today, she is a textile and fashion accessories designer, working with fabrics or leather. She will provide you with all the tips for sewing leather with a good domestic machine and answer all your questions.
