WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS OF THESE PRODUCTS?
First of all, you should know that RTC and Pro-Resist are products that have the same functions and the same application method. Only the brand differs: Bee Natural Leather Care for the former and Fiebing's for the latter.
These products have 3 main functions :
- The pore-filling function before coloring: prevents a dye or patina from impregnating the non-textured areas of a worked leather.
- The function of selective use of the pore filler (in particular to block the dye and isolate a embossed pattern).
- The protective function after coloring or on natural leather.
HOW TO APPLY RTC OR PRO RESIST TO LEATHER?
We recommend applying the product with a piece of short hair to avoid leaving small marks from bubbles.
HOW TO BLOCK A PATTERN BEFORE DYEING?
Simply apply RTC or Pro-Resist to the pattern you want to block using a brush (to be as precise as possible). It takes about 1 hour to dry. The product can be applied to an already dyed pattern or to natural leather .

CAN RTC BE USED ON ACRYLIC PAINT?
RTC or Pro-Resist can also be used to block out a design with acrylic paint.
1. Apply the acrylic paint to the design: apply 1 or 2 coats.
2. Let dry for at least 1 hour.

DOES THIS WORK WITH WHITE PAINT?
Good news ! This also works with white acrylic paint. However, we recommend waiting at least 2-3 hours after applying RTC or Pro-Resist to dye your leather (the pores must be blocked).
