This mallet has a black rubber head that prevents marking and damaging the object you are hitting.
It is ideal as an upholstery tool for reassembling the wooden parts of a seat or for driving in upholstery pins (houzeaux) for example.
The handle is made of Hickory wood, a light and hard wood of North American origin.
