Description

DIAMOND POINT STITCHING CHISEL

These stitching chisels are used to pierce leather for beautiful, regular saddle stitches. They will make diamond-shaped holes (diamond point) in your leather.

The spacing between each point is 2.5 mm. Ideal for small leather goods.

This range of high-quality tools, made in Japan, boasts remarkable finish, making them extremely pleasant to use.

Tool dimensions :
Number of teeth Total tool width
1 2.4 mm
2 4.7 mm
3 7.2 mm
4 9.7 mm
6 15 mm
12 30.9 mm

Length: 110 mm
Blade thickness: 1.4 mm

Usage tips:
- Use an ERTALON plate, a vinyl plate, or a self-healing mat as a cutting surface.
- Your chisel should be perfectly vertical when striking.
- Strike with a wooden or polymer mallet; it should be heavy enough for precise and less tiring cutting. Do not use a steel hammer. With one strike of the mallet, you make several holes in the leather to create your stitches. You can also completely pierce through the leather.
When you want to pierce thick leathers, do not hesitate to apply a thin layer of beeswax to the teeth to facilitate gliding and avoid damaging the chisel.

Hardened steel blade.
Very high wear resistance.
