Parchment is sheep or lambskin that has not been tanned . The skin is dried, the parchment remains firm and translucent. Stretched further before drying, it is thinner and opaque, whitish or yellowish in color.
Parchment, formerly used as a support for writing, is today used in bookbinding and illumination . It is also used for the manufacture of percussion instruments (drums, djembes, etc.), travel items (trunks, suitcases, etc.), lampshades or night lights, etc. All our parchments come from one of our partners in France .
