Vegetable tanned butt leather, ideal for your leather goods creations, belts, saddlery, satchels, knife sheaths or other items…This nourished, semi-aniline leather has a through-tannage. Its antique finish highlights the natural characteristics of the leather and emphasizes the authenticity of the material. Over time, it will develop a patina and become even more beautiful. It has a matte finish that provides a uniform color with some variations due to the vegetable tanning process. This leather is well-nourished and has good flexibility, making it easy to shape. It has a slightly oily feel.

For a surface area less than 0.80 m², you will receive a half butt.
For a surface area greater than 0.80 m², you will receive a whole butt.
On the flesh side, this leather is resin-coated, giving it a beautiful finish.
This is a finished leather, meaning you cannot do leather carving on it, but hot stamping works very well.
Remember to maintain this leather by cleaning it occasionally with glycerine soap and then applying a nourishing layer: wax, grease, oil, cream, or lotion.
