Vegetable-tanned butt leather, ideal for your leather goods creations, belts, saddlery, satchels, knife sheaths or other items…This nourished, semi-aniline leather has a through-tanning process. Its antique finish has the particularity of highlighting the leather's inherent characteristics and showcasing its authenticity. Over time, it will develop a patina and become even more beautiful. It has a matte finish that provides a uniform color with some nuances due to the vegetable tanning. This leather is well-nourished and has good flexibility, making it easy to shape. It has a slightly greasy feel.

For a surface area less than 0.80 m², you will receive half a butt.
For a surface area greater than 0.80 m², you will receive a full butt.
On the flesh side, this leather is resin-coated, giving it a beautiful finish.
This is a finished leather, meaning you cannot do leather carving on it, but hot stamping works very well.
Remember to maintain this leather by cleaning it occasionally with glycerine soap, then applying a nourishing layer: wax, grease, oil, cream, or milk.
