Deco Cuir Info:
Angelus paints are quality paints with a high pigment content. It is important to thoroughly homogenize the paint by shaking the bottle vigorously before use. Some colors are difficult to mix, and small lumps may appear during application. Simply smooth them out with the brush to make them disappear. This is normal and does not constitute a defect in quality.
Usage recommendations for shoes:
- It is very important to prepare your shoe before applying the paint to achieve optimal results. Clean it carefully, even if it is new. You can use Angelus Preparer and Deglazer before painting (ref. WA056).
Do not use the preparer on surfaces other than leather (plastic soles, rubber edges...)
For very smooth leather, such as patent leather, you can very lightly sand the surface with very fine sandpaper to ensure good paint adhesion.
- When painting, be sure to apply very thin coats to avoid cracking as it dries. The paint is applied with a brush. Allow Angelus paint to dry thoroughly between coats. Never dry the paint with a hairdryer, as it may crack.
- If you want to lighten a color, you can use neutral paint (ref. WZ720_004).
- Fix and protect your paint with a standard acrylic finisher or a reinforced 4-coat finisher. We recommend applying 2 or 3 coats. This will significantly reduce wear and scuffs on your leather.
Brushes can be cleaned with soapy water or with a brush cleaner (Ref. WA075).
It is possible to use the paint on other materials by mixing it with a special additive: fabric (2-soft), plastic (2-hard).
