Alligator leather info: This alligator leather comes from farms in the United States. The Mississippiensis alligator (Mississippi) is one of the 4 crocodilian leathers authorized for commercialization, along with the Niloticus crocodile (Nile), the Porosus crocodile (saltwater), and the caiman. Alligator leather is recognizable by its rounded scales on the flanks, which become more structured towards the center of the back.
Crocodile leather has more square scales, while caiman leather has triangular ones. These leathers from farms are of better quality because they have fewer scars.

Each flank is unique: shape and shades may vary slightly.
