CHINESE-MADE THREAD SPOOL - GLAZED BRAIDED THREAD

Glazed braided linen thread is a high-end, very strong thread. It is a natural thread that allows for the creation of traditional and authentic products while offering unparalleled aesthetic appeal and very high durability.

Braided thread is a ply that is assembled a second time with several ends then twisted "wet". This humidification ensures that the linen fibers are not altered. Braiding increases resistance and creates a very round thread, generally used for luxury leather goods.
This linen thread is glazed, meaning it is passed through a starch bath to which beeswax has been added. It then undergoes horsehair brushing and stretching. These operations result in a smooth, strong thread that has stiffness, good glide for easier sewing, and shape retention.
