LINEN THREAD SPOOL - GLAZED BRAIDED THREAD

Glazed braided linen thread is a high-end, very strong thread. It is a natural thread that allows for the creation of traditional and authentic products while offering incomparable aesthetic appeal and great durability.

Braided thread is a twisted thread that is assembled a second time with several ends and then re-twisted "wet". This wetting ensures that the linen fibers are not altered. Braiding increases resistance and creates a very round thread, generally used for luxury leather goods.
This linen thread is glazed, meaning it is passed through a starch bath to which beeswax has been added. It then undergoes brushing with horsehair and stretching. These operations result in a smooth and strong thread that has rigidity, good glide for easy sewing, and excellent hold.
