CHINESE LINEN THREAD SPOOL - GLAZED BRAIDED THREAD

Glazed braided linen thread is a high-end, very strong thread. It is a natural thread that allows for the creation of traditional and authentic products while offering incomparable aesthetic appeal and great strength.

Braided thread is a twisted yarn that is assembled a second time with several strands and then twisted "wet". This wetting ensures that the linen fibers are not damaged. The braiding increases strength and produces a very round thread, generally used for luxury leather goods.
This linen thread is glazed, meaning it has been passed through a starch bath to which beeswax has been added. It then underwent horsehair brushing and stretching. These operations result in a smooth and strong thread that has rigidity, good glide to facilitate sewing, and good hold.
