DIY - SÉVERINE BURGUNDY LEATHER BAG KIT

Discover our DIY kit to create the Séverine handbag, a chic, modern, and 100% handmade model.

Carried by hand or on the shoulder, this medium-sized bag is ideal for perfecting your leather craft skills and creating a unique piece.

Leather type: burgundy P41 smooth full-grain calfskin, soft and approximately 1.2 mm thick.

Kit contents:
- 1 calfskin hide (surface suitable for the project)
- 1 Salpa synderme reinforcement plate - 70 x 150 cm - 0.4 mm thick
- 40 cm Sugherite reinforcement for handle (25 mm width)
- 1 beige zipper, nickel-plated metal (4 mm width, 20 cm length)
- 1 kit of 24 nickel-plated rollable eyelets and setting tools (Ø 8 mm)
- 2 nickel-plated round snap hooks (Ø 25 mm)
- 1 nickel-plated swivel snap hook (10 mm width)
- 1 nickel-plated half-round ring (10 mm width)
- 2 nickel-plated Chicago screws (Ø 9 mm)
- 1 spool of polyester cotton thread 28/2 brick (Ø 0.38 mm)
- 1 double-sided adhesive tape
- 1 nickel-plated round magnetic TOP clasp (Ø 19 mm)

Not supplied in the kit :
- Fabric lining - 55 x 75 cm (not sold on our site, can be found in haberdasheries)
- 1 cutter and a ruler or scissors
- 1 punch (Ø 8 mm)
- 1 tear-resistant tape
- Sewing clips
- Contact adhesive for leather

Tip : For a perfect finish, we recommend working the edges of the leather by applying an edge filler (ref. WA134) then one to two coats of burgundy edge finish (ref. WA088_340).

This bag is sewn with a sewing machine. It can be sewn with a domestic sewing machine with a walking foot, a special leather needle, and a Teflon foot. Feel free to consult our guide to sewing leather by machine.
