CHOCOLATE DELLA STRETCHED GIRTH STRAPS – HIGH-PERFORMANCE SADDLERY LEATHER

The chocolate DELLA stretched girth straps are made from a third of full-grain, uncorrected butt, with a smooth finish. Unlike vegetable-tanned leathers, they undergo mineral chrome tanning, which results in naturally bluish edges, a sign of quality leather and controlled tanning. This tanning is a key step that gives them increased resistance and predictable tensile behavior.

In addition, a transparent aniline finish preserves the authentic appearance of the grain. A tallow bath (paraffin + beef fat) deeply nourishes the leather, making it waterproof, easy to work with, and requiring no regular maintenance.

FOR PROFESSIONAL USE IN SADDLERY
These girth straps are designed for the manufacture and restoration of equestrian saddles (dressage, training, racing). Their very low elongation – less than 6% after 1,000 cycles at 75kg – and their breaking strength superior to 360kg (for a width of 25mm) make them ideal pieces for intensive use.
Their structure allows for homogeneous distribution of tension, offering comfort to both horse and rider.

SELF-MAINTAINING LEATHER
Thanks to its tallow bath nourishment, this leather requires no regular maintenance. The grease naturally rises to the surface to nourish the leather and give it a beautiful patina. If a whitish film appears (thermal shock), simply rub lightly to restore the leather to its original appearance.

GUARANTEED ORIGIN AND TRACEABILITY
The leathers come from cattle raised in France, Germany, Spain or Italy, selected for the quality of their hide. Traceability is ensured at every stage (reception, tanning, finishing) via an internal marking at the Radermecker tannery.
