CHINESE WAXED LINEN THREAD SPOOL - GLAZED WHEAT C THREAD

Waxed twisted linen thread is a high-end, very strong thread. It is a natural thread that allows for the creation of traditional and authentic products while offering an incomparable aesthetic appearance and very great solidity.

Twisted thread is a ply that is assembled a second time in several strands then twisted "wet". This moistening ensures that the linen fibers are not altered. The twisting increases resistance and produces a very round thread, generally used for luxury leather goods.
This linen thread is glazed, which means it has been passed through a starch bath to which beeswax has been added. It then underwent horsehair brushing and stretching. These operations produce a smooth, strong thread that has rigidity, good glide to facilitate sewing, and good hold.
