LINEN THREAD SPOOL - GLAZED LINEN THREAD

Glazed cabled linen thread is a high-quality, very strong thread. It is a natural thread that allows for the creation of traditional and authentic products while offering unparalleled aesthetics and great strength.

Cabled thread is a ply that is assembled a second time with several ends and then twisted "wet". This humidification ensures that the linen fibers are not altered. Cabling increases resistance and produces a very round thread, generally used for luxury leather goods.
This linen thread is glazed, meaning it has been passed through a starch bath to which beeswax has been added. It then underwent horsehair brushing and stretching. These operations result in a smooth, strong thread that has rigidity, good glide for easy sewing, and good hold.
