THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT

  • 1 piece of SATINATO or SATINLYS cowhide leather - size 30 x 40 cm / approximately 1.6 mm thick.
  • 2 Chicago screws Ø9 mm.
  • A pair of scissors and a box cutter.
  • 1 round punch cutter of Ø3 mm.
  • 1 jar of Tokonole.

1. CUT OUT THE PATTERN

Download the pattern and print it at full size. Cut out the paper pattern and transfer it, with a silver pencil, onto the piece of leather (grain side) .

2. CUT THE PIECES

Cut out the pattern pieces using a cutter or a pair of scissors.

3. CREATE THE NOTCHES

Make incisions in the slits with a cutter.

4. PIERCE THE LEATHER

Drill the Ø 3 mm holes with a hole punch or a revolver-style punch.

5. FORM THE STRUCTURE

To assemble the basket: start with one of the sides, fold the middle tab, then the one with a straight line, and finish with the rounded one (see the numbers on the pattern) .

6. SECURE THE STRAP

Insert the strap (part P2) into the three slots (top and bottom) on the mounted side.

7. ASSEMBLE WITH A CHICAGO SCREW

Screw in a Chicago screw to hold the three layers and the strap.

8. Repeat the operation on the other side.
