THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT
- 1 piece of soft calfskin leather - 20 x 30 cm - Thickness ≈ 1 mm
- 1 piece of vegetable-tanned natural collar leather - 20 x 30 cm - 1 mm thick
- 1 screw-on collar button T3
- 1 cord lock clasp – 2.5 mm cord
- 1 meter of 2 mm diameter leather lace
- 1 tub of Tokonole (finishing compound)
- 1 round punch for stamping, Ø 1 mm
- 1 round punch for stamping, Ø 3 mm
- 1 rotary cutter
- Thread and needles
1. PREPARATION OF THE PATTERN
Download the pattern and print it at full size. Cut out the paper pattern, leaving approximately 1 cm of margin around the pieces. Then, using masking tape, attach the pattern piece P1 to the soft leather piece, and the pattern piece P2 to the vegetable-tanned leather piece.

2. DRILL THE HOLES
Drill the various 3 mm diameter holes using a punch.
For simplified hand sewing: punch the sewing holes indicated on the pattern using a 1 mm diameter round punch (P1 and P2)

3. CUT THE PIECES
Cut out the different pieces using a cutter. For the rounded cut of piece P1, a rotary cutter is recommended.

4. APPLY THE TOKONOLE
Work the slices of piece P2 with Tokonole. Also apply Tokonole to the reverse side of piece P1 to smooth the crust and achieve a nice finish.

5. GLUE THE PIECES
Using contact adhesive, glue part P2 to the designated spot on part P1. Be careful not to apply any glue to the flap of part P2 => stop at the two holes.

6. OVERCUT THE ENDS
Trim off the ends of piece P2 that protrude.

6. SEW AND THREAD THE LACE
Sew piece P2 onto piece P1. Choose between machine sewing or hand sewing. Take 1 meter of 2 mm diameter round cord and thread it through the holes, starting at the back of the pouch (the two holes also located in piece P2) . Bring the cord out through the two front holes.

7. ATTACH THE LACE STOP
Thread each end of the shoelace through a shoelace stopper, then tie two knots. Cut off the excess shoelace.

8. SCREW THE BUTTON
Finally, screw on the collar button (don't forget to make the incision to allow the head of the collar button to pass through) .
