THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT
To complete this tutorial, you will need:
- 1 vegetable tanned leather strap - LONDON FAUVE - Thickness 1.9 mm - Width 2 cm - Length 30 cm
- 1 collar button with ring - For 10mm lanyard
- 1 round keychain ring - NICKEL PLATED - 18 mm
- 1 CHICAGO screw - Diameter 9mm - Center distance 5mm - NICKEL PLATED
- 2 screws 3x7 mm - Nickel plated
- 1 edge finish - Colorcut - 30ml
And the following material:
- 1 ROUND knocking punch with STRAIGHT handle - diam 4 mm
- 1 mallet
- 1 screwdriver
- 1 abrasive sponge
- 1 silver pencil
- 1 cutter
1. CUT THE LEATHER USING THE PATTERN
Cut the 30 cm leather strap into 2 strips of 15 and 11 cm in length. 
Download, print and cut out the pattern then mark, using a silver pencil, the position of the holes and notches on the leather. 
With a cutter, cut the notches on the 15 cm strip. Then, break the corners of the strip by 11 cm. 
2. DRILL THE HOLES
With a 4 mm punch and a mallet: make the holes in the leather. 
CUSTOMIZATION
You can personalize your key ring by writing messages on the vegetable tanned leather.
HOW TO MARK THE LEATHER?
3. WORK THE SLICES
Work the edges of the leather: put at least 2 layers of edge finish (color of your choice) and sand between each layer. 
4. INSTALL SCREW
Install the chicago screw with a 3x7 mm screw and tighten with a screwdriver. 
5. INSERT THE COLLAR BUTTON
Install the collar button with ring with a 3x7 mm screw and tighten with a screwdriver. 
6. ATTACHING THE RING
Attach the key ring to the collar button. 
7. SHAPE THE KEY RING
Pull lightly on the sides of the leather to make it work and gain stability. 
YOU HAVE FINISHED !
The leather support is a removable key ring to unfold to put your phone.
