Deco Cuir recommends this high-quality water-based dye, Waterstain.
This matte finish stain provides good coverage and dries quickly .
It is composed of a mixture of water, dye, and highly penetrating binders. Water-based dyes have a low environmental impact.
This dye is ONLY for use on natural vegetable-tanned leather.
It cannot be used on pigmented leathers, velvet, nubuck or suede...
If the dye remains on the surface, it is not suitable for leather.
The colors can be mixed together to create new shades. White dye doesn't actually dye your leather ; it allows you to lighten other colors to create a wider range of shades. In all cases, a preliminary test on a scrap of leather is recommended to confirm the desired shade.
This leather dye is very easy to apply and is highly concentrated.
It can be applied with a sponge, a soft cloth, a piece of sheep's wool, with a spray gun or by immersion.
It is ideal for fully coloring a creation or just covering patterns made with stamps.
If you want a glossy finish, after complete drying, apply a coat of wax, grease or fixative which will protect your leather.
Precautions for use:
- Keep out of reach of children
- Avoid all contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Do not swallow
- Wash your hands after use
