Deco Cuir Info :
Angelus paints are quality paints with a high pigment content. It is important to thoroughly mix the paint by shaking the bottle vigorously before use. Some colors are difficult to mix and small lumps may appear during application. Simply smooth them out with the brush to make them disappear. This is normal and does not constitute a defect in quality.
Usage recommendations for shoes :
- It is very important to prepare your shoe before painting to achieve an optimal result. Clean it thoroughly, even if it is new. You can use Angelus Preparer and Deglazer (ref. WA056).
Do not use the preparer on any surface other than leather (plastic soles, rubber edges, etc.)
For very smooth leather, such as patent leather, you can very lightly sand the surface with very fine sandpaper to ensure the paint adheres well.
- When painting, be sure to apply very thin coats to prevent cracking upon drying. The paint is applied with a brush. Allow the Angelus paint to dry thoroughly between coats. Never dry the paint with a hairdryer, as it may crack.
- Fix and protect your paint with a standard acrylic finish or a reinforced 4-coat finish. We recommend applying 2 or 3 coats. This will significantly reduce wear and scuffs on your leather.
Brushes can be cleaned with soapy water or a brush cleaner (Ref. WA075).
It is possible to use the paint on another surface: fabric (2-soft), plastic (2-hard) by mixing it with a special additive.
