Deco Cuir Info :
Angelus paints are quality paints with a high pigment content. The paint must be well homogenized by shaking the bottle vigorously before use. Some colors are difficult to mix, and small lumps may appear during application. Simply smooth them out with the brush to make them disappear. This is normal and does not constitute a quality defect.
Usage recommendations for shoes :
- It is very important to prepare your shoe before applying paint to achieve optimal results. Clean it thoroughly, even if it is new. You can use the Angelus leather preparer and cleaner (ref. WA056).
Do not use the preparer on surfaces other than leather (plastic soles, rubber edges, etc.).
For very smooth leather like patent leather, you can lightly sand the surface with very fine sandpaper so that the paint adheres well.
- When painting, be sure to apply very thin coats to prevent cracking while drying. The paint is applied with a brush. Let the Angelus paint dry thoroughly between coats. Never use a hairdryer to dry the paint, as it may crack.
- Fix and protect your paint with a standard acrylic finisher or a reinforced 4-coat finisher. We recommend applying 2 or 3 coats. This will significantly reduce wear and scratches on your leather.
Brushes can be cleaned with soapy water or with a brush cleaner (Ref. WA075).
It is possible to use the paint on other materials: fabric (2-soft), plastic (2-hard) by mixing it with a special additive.
