This leather is a "tannery choice", meaning that the hides have been carefully selected and therefore have very few defects. As a reminder, defect-free leather does not exist. Vegetable-tanned leather is quality leather that does not hide the animal's life marks and develops a patina over time. With this type of leather, you must judiciously arrange the patterns of your creations before cutting.
For a surface area less than 2m², you will receive a quarter hide.
For a surface area greater than 2m², you will receive a half hide.
Characteristics of Angel leather:
Angel leather is the soft leather for leather goods. Angel leather is unpressed, uncorrected, full-grain saddle leather with a visible grain. This leather has an aniline finish that preserves the natural appearance of the leather as well as all the beauty of this material and maintains the uniqueness of each hide. It has a through-dye, meaning the dye penetrates to the core of the leather, and it is enhanced by a velvet-dyed flesh side. This leather benefits from exceptional stretch. It is a mineral-tanned leather. It is distinguished by its great suppleness, giving it a silky feel throughout its lifespan, even under strong tension. Running your hand over the grain is comfortable due to its grip, a tactile hold. It will perfectly absorb any nourishment throughout its life.
Angel leather care tips:
Pay particular attention to light exposure, which can alter the colors of your leather, always dust your leather with a dry cloth before applying any specific treatment. In case of contact with water, let your leather dry naturally, at room temperature, without any additional heat source.
For maintenance, nourishing the grain will re-nourish the areas between the pores of the skin and the pores themselves. This is ultimately the same process as when you moisturize your hands when your skin is dry. Angel saddle leather will resist moisture; simply let it dry at room temperature to restore its appearance. Moistening Angel leather allows for more elasticity and stretch; Angel leather will shrink during drying without altering its hand and suppleness.
