LEATHER SKIVING TOOL
This tool is used in leather goods or bookbinding to thin leather.
Tool designed for left-handed users.
This economical skiving blade, made of hardened steel, comes straight from the manufacturing workshop. It is rough from the foundry!
The blade needs degreasing as there are oil residues from manufacturing. The edges of the handle are sharp: we recommend breaking the edges by sanding them or wrapping the handle with a leather strap before use.

Supplied pre-sharpened, it is necessary to sharpen the blade's edge for optimal and precise cutting using a strop and sharpening paste. (See video tab)
