Hand Press Setting Set 3960 - For RIVETS TO BE MET - Craftplus -T28

DIE FOR PRESS 3960 FOR SETTING T28, T35 OR T41 RIVETS

This steel setting die is used with the Craftplus 3960 manual bench press to easily set rivets.

The setting die consists of three parts (L, U-1 and U-2).

Instructions for use :
- Using a round punch, make a hole in your leather that roughly corresponds to the diameter of your rivet shank (3 mm for T28 rivet / 3.5 mm for T35 rivet / 4 mm for T41 rivet).
- Insert part L onto the lower part of the press.
- Insert part U-1 onto the upper part of the press. Place the rivet head on part L, thread the leather, then the washer. Press the press lever to clamp the rivet with the washer.
- Using wire cutters, cut off the excess shank, leaving about 2 mm.
- Insert part U-2 in place of part U-1. Press the press lever to set the shank onto the washer.

3 setting dies to choose from :
- For T28 (#14) rivets with washers (die ref: 3984-00)
- For T35 (#12) rivets with washers (die ref: 3983-02)
- For T41 (#9) rivets with washers (die ref: 3983-01)

Base diameter for insertion into the press: 9.4 mm
