NATURAL BUTT - VEGETABLE TANNED LEATHER
Discover our natural 5mm thick vegetable-tanned butt leather, ideal for your saddlery creations. You can personalize your creations by embossing designs using stamps. This leather can also be dyed or left natural (it will darken/tan over time and with exposure to light).
This 2nd choice butt leather has imperfections such as scratches or stains. It should be chosen for its strength due to its thickness, not for its aesthetic appeal.

The flesh side has no finish. It can be more or less rough. Some areas may have visible veins that you can treat with light sanding followed by the application of a finishing product such as Tokonole.
Remember to protect vegetable-tanned leather by applying a varnish or grease.
