LEATHER SKIVING / THINNING TOOL
This tool, designed for right-handed users, is used to safely skive leather, i.e., to reduce its thickness to facilitate assemblies or create hems. The firmer the leather, the easier it is to skive.It takes a little practice to master the tool, so don't hesitate to practice on scraps.
This skiving knife, made of black steel, is equipped with interchangeable razor-type blades.

The knife is sold with one blade.
Caution: the blade is extremely sharp: use with care.
Replacement blades are sold at Deco Cuir stores
