In the selected leather, more than 75% of the hide is usable.

This leather is already mass-dyed at the tannery (uniform color). The grain of the leather is covered with a protective layer of colored wax which gives good color intensity and ensures waterproofing. This gives it a satin appearance.

On the flesh side, this leather is also finished: it has received a layer of colored wax that provides a nice finish by bonding the fibers together.
On the neck, the presence of more or less pronounced neck wrinkles is possible.
Small traces of imperfections (scars, for example) may be present.
Around the periphery of the hide, drying clamp marks may be visible.

This is a finished leather, which means you cannot do tooling on it, but hot stamping works very well.

Remember to maintain this leather by cleaning it occasionally with glycerin soap, then applying a nourishing layer: wax, grease, oil, cream, or milk.
