THREAD SPOOL - GLAZED BRAIDED LINEN THREAD

Glazed braided linen thread is a high-quality, very strong thread. It is a natural thread that allows for the creation of traditional and authentic products while offering an incomparable aesthetic appeal and great durability.

Braided thread is a twisted yarn that is assembled a second time from several strands and then re-twisted "wet". This humidification ensures that the linen fibers are not damaged. Braiding increases resistance and results in a very round thread, generally used for luxury leather goods.
This linen thread is glazed, meaning it is passed through a starch bath to which beeswax has been added. It then undergoes horsehair brushing and stretching. These operations result in a smooth and resistant thread that has rigidity, good glide to facilitate sewing, and good hold.
