The Dolce range is a selection specifically for leather goods from an Italian tannery renowned for its expertise. It is calf split leather, meaning the underside of the hide obtained after splitting full-grain leather to achieve that characteristic velvety feel.
Unlike nubuck leather, which is sanded on the grain side (the outer surface of the hide), suede leather is obtained by sanding the split side.

This 1.3 mm thick suede leather is supple without being soft, and structured without being rigid. It is easy to cut and can be sewn with a powerful domestic sewing machine (with a Teflon foot and a special leather needle). It is suitable for many leather goods and small leather goods projects, from beginner to professional.

Unlike full-grain leather, the edges do not need to be worked to achieve a neat finish, which saves considerable time.
