EASY EYEGLASS CASE SEWING TUTORIAL

Give your glasses a cozy home by sewing your own elegant and sturdy leather case with integrated reinforcement.

This paper tutorial guides you through all the steps to quickly make a leather eyeglass case: a step-by-step tutorial illustrated with photos, QR codes linking to explanatory videos, and the pattern ready to cut or photocopy directly on the back.

Designed for beginner crafters, this simple project will allow you to make your own DIY eyeglass case. A great way to get started with leatherwork or to offer a unique and personalized creation.

This eyeglass case can be sewn by hand or with a sewing machine.

Dimensions :
- Length: 18 cm

Materials needed (not included) :
- 1 piece of flexible leather 20 x 30 cm - Between 1 and 1.3 mm thick
- 1 piece of Salpa fiberboard reinforcement - 20 x 30 - 0.6 mm thick
- 1 pig suede leather skin VELVET - Surface area of approximately 0.25 m²
- 4 round neodymium magnets - 20 x 2 mm
- Contact adhesive for leather
- Cyanoacrylate glue for magnets
- 1 utility knife or scissors

For machine sewing :
- 1 spool of polyester thread n°40 (Ø 0.36 mm)
- Leather needle n°90 - 100
- Teflon foot

For hand sewing :
- 1 cardboard card of 8m MeiSi super fine waxed linen thread M50 - 0.55 mm
- 1 ROUND punch - Ø 1 mm
- 2 saddler's needles - round tip - Size 1/0 - Ø 1.1 mm
