LEATHER KEY BELL SEWING TUTORIAL AND PATTERN

This paper tutorial explains all the steps to making a clever leather key bell: a step-by-step tutorial illustrated with photos, QR codes linking to explanatory videos, and the pattern ready to cut or photocopy directly on the back.

Designed for beginner creators, this simple project will allow you to make your own DIY key bell. A great way to start working with leather or to offer a unique and personalized creation.

This key bell can be sewn by hand or with a sewing machine.

Final dimensions:

Required material (not included):
- 1 piece of leather 15 x 20 cm - Semi-soft, Semi-firm - Thickness between 1 and 1.4 mm
- 50 cm of Ø 2 mm round leather lace
- 1 Ø 18 mm round key ring
- 1 Chicago screw (3 mm center distance) or 1 T3 rivet
- 1 cutter or a pair of scissors
- 1 Ø 4 mm round punch
- 1 mallet

For machine sewing:
- 1 spool of polyester thread N°40 (Ø 0.36 mm)
- Leather needle N°90 - 100
- Teflon foot

For hand sewing:
- 1 card of 8m of MeiSi super fine M50 waxed linen thread - 0.55 mm
- 1 ROUND punching tool - Ø 1 mm
- 2 saddler's needles - round tip - Size 1/0 - Ø 1.1 mm
