KUTSCH FOR SPACING HOLES FOR HAND SEWING LEATHER
This triangular ruler (also called kutsch) was developed by Deco Cuir to facilitate the choice of center distances and to have beautiful regular seams on your leather creations.
This ruler has 6 different graduations:
- a graduation in millimeters ranging from 0 to 31 cm.
- 5 graduations for spacing the stitches with center distances of 2.7 mm, 3.0 mm, 3.38 mm, 3.85 mm and 4.0 mm.
This rule will be useful to you for many projects.
For example, you can position the ruler on your piece of leather to test different center distances and choose the one that works best.
It is also useful for drawing your pattern. It will allow you to choose the right spacing from the first to the last point and thus avoid a shift.
It is also suitable for spacing your stitches evenly for simplified leather sewing (hole sewing).
