LEATHER MARKING CHARACTER HOLDER
This brass character holder can be used with all Deco Cuir brass characters (letters, numbers, symbols).
The character holder can be screwed onto the handle ref. TB335 in order to be struck with a mallet, onto an electric thread iron (M5 screw) or onto the Craftplus hot press ref. 3970-92 .
This character holder is ideal for hot stamping (engraving) or cold stamping (embossing) on your leather to add a first name, brand name, message, initials...
To facilitate the positioning of your brass characters, the character holder is equipped with engraved millimeter markings as well as a dot indicating the bottom.
Placement of characters in the tool holder :
The dot under the character indicates the bottom of it; it must be positioned on the same side as the dot on the tool holder.
The word is written in mirror image. The beginning of the word is to the right of the type holder. You can check in a mirror if the word is reflected correctly.
The characters must be fully inserted into the tool holder, especially when using a hot tool, to ensure even heat distribution. Once all the characters are inserted, tighten the two screws to securely hold the brass characters in place.
We advise you to always test on scraps of leather beforehand.
