This spring plate and screw allow you to replace the original parts of the "stitching awl pliers for hand sewing - Tandy Leather 3229-00" if they are damaged.
After numerous uses, the spring of the 3229 pliers may be damaged and require replacement. The flexible spring tab (plate) is easily replaced by unscrewing it with a flat-head screwdriver.
