As leather is a natural material, each hide bears the history of the animal: scars, wrinkles, holes, folds, different grain… 2nd choice leathers are offered at a 15% discount compared to 1st choice leather because they have more imperfections randomly distributed across the hide. At least 50% of their surface remains usable and they will be perfectly suited for making small items such as gloves, sheaths, or small leather goods by allowing you to work around the damaged areas to make the best use of the hide's surface.
