FULL-SIZE PATTERN - DIY LEATHER BAG

Make your own leather shoulder bag with this full-size pattern and assembly instructions. A beautiful flap bag, ideal for all occasions.

Level: intermediate. This bag is sewn by hand. Feel free to consult our guide on saddle stitch sewing.
Please note: for attaching the chain, we offer an alternative to the pattern, which is detailed in the list of necessary materials below.

All instructions are translated into French, English, and Spanish. Measurements are provided in centimeters and inches.

Final bag dimensions: 19 x 21 x 6.5 cm (7.5 x 8.25 x 2.5 in)

List of necessary materials (not included):
- Medium-soft to firm leather - Thickness 2 to 2.4 mm - Surface 0.85 m²
- A leather strap 90 cm long and 20 mm wide
- A bag chain approximately 25 cm long + 2 mini snap hooks + 2 D-rings 20 mm
For attaching the chain, we offer an alternative to the pattern: place your 2 eyelets only on the flap (part D), and omit those provided on the sides of the gusset (part C). Pass the chain through the two eyelets on the flap so that it forms a single piece, with one end emerging from each side. Then attach a snap hook to each end of the chain. For the shoulder strap, place a D-ring at each end. All that remains is to attach each snap hook to its ring.
