Usage tips:
- Use natural vegetable-tanned leather at least 2.5 mm thick.
- Moisten the leather before stamping. To facilitate your carving work, you can use a leather preparer (such as Easy-Carve or Pro-Carv).
- Use a granite slab as a striking surface to avoid rebound and achieve a clear and deep mark on the leather.
- Use a nylon, polymer, leather, or wood mallet or maul that is heavy enough (do not use a steel hammer).
- It is possible to use these stamps on mineral-tanned leather by heating the brass stamp. Handle the tool with protective gloves to avoid any risk of burns.
