This leather stamp allows you to quickly reproduce the same pattern to create a basketweave that will add texture to your leather creation.
"Basketweave" type stamps transform large smooth surfaces into textured surfaces, while concealing any imperfections in the leather. The relief formed by the compression of the material also strengthens the leather and makes it more resistant to scratches.

Usage tips :
- Use natural vegetable-tanned leather at least 2.5 mm thick.
- Moisten the leather before stamping. To facilitate your tooling work, you can use a leather conditioner such as Easy-Carve or Pro-Carv.
- Use a marble slab as a striking surface to prevent bouncing and ensure a clean and deep impression on the leather.
- Use a mallet or maul made of nylon, leather polymer, or wood that is heavy enough (do not use a steel hammer).
- It is possible to use these stamps on mineral-tanned leather by heating the brass stamp. Handle the tool with protective gloves to avoid any risk of burns.
