PROFESSIONAL LEATHER STAMP SERGEY NESKROMNIY N°262 - 3-STRAND BASKETWEAVE
Enhance your DIY leather creations with the high-quality stamps designed by Sergey Neskromniy, renowned worldwide for the finesse and originality of his designs. Manufactured in Bulgaria since 2013, these leather stamps are machined with a computer numerical control (CNC) machine tool, guaranteeing a clean impression on leather, down to the smallest detail.
This leather stamp allows you to quickly reproduce the same pattern to create a 3-strand basketweave that will add dimension to your leather creation.
“Basketweave” type stamps transform large smooth surfaces into textured surfaces, while concealing any minor leather imperfections. The relief formed by the compression of the material also strengthens the leather and makes it more resistant to scratches.
The four clean angles serve as practical reference points for repositioning the stamp and repeating the pattern.
This striking stamp consists of a brass head and a stainless steel handle, combining strength and durability. Whether you are a professional or a passionate leather craftsman, this tool is perfect for your leather tooling work.
Dimensions :
- Pattern size: 8 x 8 mm
- Handle diameter: 7 mm
- Tool length: 100 mm
Usage tips :
- Use natural vegetable-tanned leather at least 2.5 mm thick.
- Moisten the leather before stamping. To facilitate your tooling work, you can use a leather preparer such as Easy-Carve or Pro-Carv.
- Use a marble slab as a striking surface to avoid bounces and achieve a clean and deep impression on the leather.
- Use a sufficiently heavy nylon, leather polymer, or wooden mallet or maul (do not use a steel hammer).
- It is possible to use these stamps on mineral-tanned leather by heating the brass stamp. Handle the stem with protective gloves to avoid any risk of burns.
The first photo shows the pattern on a 4 cm square.
