Usage tips:
- Use natural vegetable-tanned leather with a minimum thickness of 2.5 mm.
- Dampen the leather before stamping. To facilitate your carving work, you can use a leather preparer such as Easy-Carve or Pro-Carv.
- Use a slab as a striking surface to avoid rebound and achieve a clear and deep impression on the leather.
- Use a sufficiently heavy nylon, leather polymer, or wood mallet or maul (do not use a steel hammer).
- It is possible to use these stamps on mineral-tanned leather by heating the brass stamp. Handle the stem with protective gloves to avoid any risk of burns.
