Usage tips:
- Use natural vegetable-tanned leather at least 2.5 mm thick.
- Dampen the leather before stamping. To facilitate your tooling work, you can use a leather preparer such as Easy-Carve or Pro-Carv.
- Use a granite slab as a striking surface to avoid rebound and achieve a clear and deep impression on the leather.
- Use a sufficiently heavy nylon, polymer, leather, or wooden mallet or maul (do not use a steel hammer).
- It is possible to use these stamps on chrome-tanned leather by heating the brass stamp. Handle the stem with protective gloves to avoid any risk of burns.
